As long as you keep a person down, some part of you has to be down there to hold the person down. So it means you cannot soar as you otherwise might.

that is so true. I have met and know people who, because of their own insecurities and disappointments, just can’t seem to be happy for others. They hold the person down either emotionally by using verbal tactics or if they are co-workers, actually trying to sabotage you. It’s a rough world out there and the way I think of it, and what actaully helps me feel better, is knowing that they are truly miserable people with many personal problems and that is why….they try to keep us down.
